TriNet Names Carlos Galarce Chief Operating Officer
Proven leader in delivering on business results related to acquisitions and rapid organic expansion joins HR outsourcing provider.
SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (December 14, 2009) TriNet, a provider of payroll, benefits and human resources outsourcing services to small businesses, today announced the appointment of Carlos Galarce as Chief Operating Officer. Galarce’s first priority is the acceleration of the company’s technology upgrade process related to the closing of its acquisition of Florida-based Gevity in June. Galarce will also focus on the advancement of the company’s people, process and technology platforms for the first-class delivery of services to clients.
“Carlos has a proven track record of driving scale to the integration of technology and applications that deliver quality services to both internal and external constituencies,” said Burton M. Goldfield, TriNet’s President and CEO. “As we expand our offering we will look to Carlos’ expertise in operational execution to expand our platform driving top-line growth.”
Galarce began on Dec. 1, and is responsible for operations, information technology and enterprise project management. He will report directly to Goldfield.
He was most recently the managing partner of Santiago Partners, a management and operational consultancy for private equity-owned companies. He previously served as CIO and Chief Administration Officer for Infor Global Solutions, a software company whose revenue grew from $20 million in 2002 to more than $2.4 billion in 2008. Galarce also served as CIO, head of Real Estate and head of Acquisition Integration of SSA Global Technologies, where he was instrumental in the execution of taking SSA public in May 2005 and subsequently selling SSA to Infor in July 2006.
“My philosophy includes delivering experiences to customers that are both efficient and delightful,” said Galarce. “Most people laugh at that but there’s no reason why we can’t do both. My goal is for every client to express how pleasant it is to do business with us.”
Galarce has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Michigan and a master’s in computer science from Wayne State University. He has also completed the Executive Development Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Business.
