TriNet Acquires E3 Operations as Part of Texas Expansions
SAN LEANDRO, CA. (September 22, 2003) - TriNet Group Inc., a provider of online and in-person human resource (HR) solutions, today announced the acquisition of the trade assets of E3 Group, a Texas-based Professional Employer Organization (PEO). E3's customers will benefit almost immediately from the transaction, gaining access to TriNet's enterprise-level platform and a full range of secure, self-service features.
"We're pleased to become part of TriNet's organization and help drive the company's growth in Texas," said Randy Evans, E3's CEO. "Our customers are enthusiastic about TriNet's online HR services, as well as its benefit plans, worker's compensation services, and highly competitive rates."
"The opportunities in the Texas marketplace are exciting and I'm pleased to work with a company of E3's caliber," said Martin Babinec, TriNet's President & CEO. "They have an outstanding reputation and a long track record providing HR services for small and medium-sized businesses."
E3's executive team will direct TriNet's operations in Texas, helping over 1,700 new employees transition to TriNet's benefits and payroll platform. Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The E3 arrangement marks the third time in less than a year that TriNet has acted as a resource for PEOs seeking to divest all or part of their business. In 2002, more than 70 customer companies joined TriNet as the result of a referral arrangement with Boston-based HR Logic. Earlier this year, over 70 customer companies joined TriNet through a referral arrangement that resulted from Hawaii-based PEO ALTRES's decision to withdraw from the California market.
