TriNet Expands Customer Base with Referrals from other Human Resource Providers
SAN LEANDRO, CA. (JUNE 25, 2003) - TriNet, a provider of online and in-person human resource (HR) solutions, today announced that it has completed a one-time market transition arrangement with ALTRES, a Hawaii-based Professional Employer Organization (PEO). The arrangement enables ALTRES to transition its California customers to TriNet's service platform, and has resulted in over 60 new companies joining TriNet.
"ALTRES has a thriving business in Hawaii, a market that will continue to ensure the company's growth and success," said Barron Guss, ALTRES's President & CEO. "California, in contrast, is home to an increasingly arduous benefits and worker's compensation environment. We decided to redirect our focus back to Hawaii and help our west coast customers transition to a provider dedicated to the California market. TriNet's 14-year history in California made the company an excellent choice to continue benefits, payroll, and HR services for these clients."
The ALTRES arrangement marks the second time in under a year that TriNet has acted as a resource for another HR provider. In 2002, 62 new companies joined TriNet as a result of a referral arrangement with Boston-based outsourcer HR Logic.
"TriNet is in a strong position to assist PEOs and other HR outsourcing companies throughout North American and especially in California," said Martin Babinec, TriNet's President & CEO. "Our company's experience in the state helps us negotiate a complicated regulatory landscape."
"TriNet doesn't rule out the possibility of similar arrangements in the future," Mr. Babinec continued. "TriNet's online set-up process enables us to implement a high volume of companies in a short amount of time, and without significant cost to the customers themselves. Those customers also receive the benefit of an integrated benefits and payroll platform and a suite of secure, online self-service features."
