TriNet Management Team Elected to Key Industry Governance Roles

Martin Babinec and Greg Hammond to Serve Critical Entities that Help Drive the Professional Employer Organization Industry

SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (October 18, 2006) - TriNet, a nationwide provider of human resource (HR) outsourcing services for small and mid-sized companies, today announced two of its top executives have been elected to key leadership positions within the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) industry. TriNet's President and CEO, Martin Babinec, has rejoined the Board of Directors of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) and Greg Hammond, executive vice president and general counsel, received a position on the board of the Employer Services Corporation (ESAC). NAPEO and ESAC are critical entities that help drive the Professional Employer Organization industry and contribute to its overall health and integrity.

Babinec first served on the NAPEO Board of Directors in 1996. NAPEO re-elected him to the board based on his extensive industry experience, depth of knowledge, and the respect he has from his peers in the industry.

"This is an important time in the growth of the HR outsourcing industry," said Martin Babinec, CEO and president of TriNet. "I look forward to the opportunity to contribute time and energy to the success of NAPEO, particularly in partnership with industry and government representatives, as we focus on strengthening the industry and safeguards for customers and employees alike."

The ESAC selected Greg Hammond to chair the Client Reporting Committee, with the dual goals of unifying PEO reporting of confidential customer information in a secure electronic environment as well as developing a regulatory database that enables efficient regulation of the industry and safeguarding of customers.

"ESAC provides an indispensable layer of trust and integrity to the relationships between PEOs and their customers," said Greg Hammond. "They are the sole entity in existence that helps ensure the financial and regulatory stability of PEOs, which is a notoriously complicated and difficult to track business. I'm pleased to be a part of ESAC and look forward to helping them drive its oversight of our high-growth industry."

Hammond also serves on NAPEO's Regulatory Task Force, while Jay Pimentel, associate general counsel at TriNet, continues his role with NAPEO's Legal Advisory Council.
