TriNet Completes Upgrade of its PeopleSoft Platform, Enables Customers to Access Latest HRIS Technology
SAN LEANDRO, CA (June 17, 2003) - TriNet Group Inc, a human resources (HR) outsourcer offering a single point of contact for benefits, payroll, and HR support, today announced the completion of a platform upgrade to PeopleSoft version 8. The new platform houses the benefits and payroll data for 500 customers throughout the United States and Canada, and represents TriNet's ongoing commitment to provide the latest Human Resources Information System (HRIS) technology as part of its outsourcing service.
"For small and medium-sized businesses, getting the latest PeopleSoft releases as part of their outsourcing service fee means a considerable return on investment," said Steve Carlson, TriNet's Chief Information Officer. "Companies often outsource their human resources to avoid the exorbitant cost of building their own technology infrastructure-a sticker price that not only includes the initial in-house installation, but also the ongoing costs of licensing, maintenance, and upgrades."
TriNet has offered secure, online transactions since 2001, enabling customers to administer benefits, manage payroll, access company reports, and perform high-level HR tasks in a PeopleSoft environment. The latest upgrade will strengthen TriNet's ability to process large-scale payroll for companies with thousands of employees, as well as increase TriNet's suite of online, role-based services. TriNet also intends to take advantage of the platform's Extended Markup Language (XML) capabilities in order to provide ancillary HR services.
PeopleSoft is the HR outsourcing industry's premier platform for availability, scalability, and security. By offering web-enabled PeopleSoft capabilities on an outsourced basis, TriNet enables executives and HR professionals to administer their human resources from any desktop computer. Secure, self-service transactions are available only to authorized users such as payroll contacts and hiring managers, while all employees can use online features to enroll in benefits, maintain direct deposit accounts, and view electronic copies of their paychecks.
