TriNet Connects Small Business Owners to Drive Innovation

HR outsourcing leader launches Idea Exchange to empower TriNet clients to contribute and collaborate on ideas for new products and services

SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (March 31, 2010) – TriNet, the country’s largest private provider of human resources outsourcing solutions to small businesses, today announced Idea Exchange, a powerful forum for TriNet clients to converse and participate in a highly innovative community.  Clients may collaborate on developing ideas, gauge the popularity of their suggestions and track the development of their ideas into valuable new TriNet products and services that meet their organizations’ rapidly changing needs.

With its quarterly new product releases, TriNet is committed to being the most innovative and productive human capital partner in the PEO industry. As part of TriNet’s Spring 2010 release, Idea Exchange will guide TriNet’s energy and resources toward developing the services and technology that will have the greatest impact on small businesses.

“The cutting edge of innovation resides in entrepreneurs, not only in the products and services they provide, but also in the way their nimble organizations operate,” said Burton M. Goldfield, TriNet’s president and CEO. “Idea Exchange is an open platform to harness this innovative thinking; it allows us to better listen and provide value to our thousands of our small business clients and it empowers them to impact the direction of our solutions based on what they need.”

Idea Exchange is available immediately to TriNet customers as part of their standard service package. The Spring release also includes new workshops for the company’s successful Embracing Leadership and Career Transition services to small businesses across the country. Previously only available to TriNet clients, these pre-scheduled workshops are now available to all small businesses; they have proven effective in developing management skills and preparing former employees for transition after organizational change.

In our current economic climate, salary increases may be difficult for employers to offer, but leveraging employee training as an alternative sends a clear signal to employees that they are valued. Even in the case of layoffs, easing employee transition can go a long way toward maintaining the morale of remaining employees and minimizing a disruption in productivity.

“Traditional employee development resources are often prohibitively expensive and do not address the unique work environment and employee demands of a small business,” added John J. Midgley, TriNet’s vice president of products. “For many years, TriNet has been delivering successful interactive workshops specifically designed to meet the needs of our small business clients, and now we’re opening the doors and hosting two of our most popular workshops on a regular basis at our regional training centers.”

Attendance is limited at these hands-on workshops to ensure a high degree of personal interaction. Employers can visit the Embracing Leadership and Career Transition pages to view the schedules and enroll online.

Additionally in this release, TriNet introduced its Human Capital Index (HCI). This new monthly index analyzes and reports on the monthly business activity of thousands of small businesses in the United States. The first HCI results were announced today, providing timely insights to empower business leaders to make informed business decisions.
