Mike Simonds is President and CEO of TriNet and joined the Company in February 2024.

Before joining TriNet, Simonds served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Unum Group, a Fortune 500 provider of workplace benefits and services. In this role, Mike was responsible for all of Unum’s active businesses, collectively serving nearly 40 million workers and their families globally. 

He previously served as President and CEO of Unum US, Unum Group’s largest business unit, as well as other management positions at Unum. During this time, Simonds helped to lead the company's investments in a differentiated customer experience through HCM partnerships and expansion in voluntary benefits, dental, vision, and absence management solutions.

Prior to Unum, Simonds served a range of financial institutions as a consultant at McKinsey & Company and has served on a number of non-profit boards focused on issues of health, education, and financial stability.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College in Economics and Anthropology and a master’s in business administration from Harvard Business School.

Alex Warren is the Chief Revenue Officer at TriNet and oversees the execution of TriNet’s unified operational strategy for customer retention and net new sales which includes both its professional employment organization (PEO) and SaaS human capital management (HCM) businesses. He previously held the role of senior vice president, customer experience at TriNet.

Alex joined TriNet in 2017 as vice president, enterprise solutions on the product team. In 2018 he moved to the operations organization as vice president of customer solutions. Prior to joining TriNet, Alex was a leader of new revenue at Insperity and has worked in a consulting capacity across the PEO industry. He has led and advised organizations of various sizes on rapid performance transformation, scalable operations and customer experience strategies.

Alex is a regular speaker on scaling strategies for entrepreneurs, organizational design and the future of work. Alex is also co-executive sponsor of the TNET Pride colleague resource group.

Prior to joining corporate America, Alex served in the U.S. Army, graduating from Sapper School as a combat engineer. He attended warfighters at the Army war college, and during his time in the military received the 29th Division Combat Squad Leader of the Year award in 1998 and Soldier of the Year award in 1992. Alex remains a member of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and has worked with some of the most significant global government contractors. In doing so, he held a top secret security clearance.

Catherine Wragg joined TriNet in 2017 and serves as Chief People Officer, overseeing learning and development, HR operations and compliance, talent acquisition, compensation and analytics, and internal HR support to the business.

Previously, Catherine served as the senior vice president of Business Development at Giorgio Armani Corporation, where she collaborated with the CEO on various business strategies, including the management of the e-commerce channel for North America. Earlier at Giorgio Armani, she was the senior vice president of Human Resources at A|X Armani Exchange. Catherine led the integration of A|X into Giorgio Armani following its acquisition by Giorgio Armani Group. Prior to that, she was the senior vice president of Human Resources and Administration at Tower Group International, Ltd., where she was responsible for establishing and growing an internal HR function to support a rapid growth property and casualty insurance company. Catherine partnered with her colleagues on two successful initial public offerings and integrated various acquisitions. She supported 18 offices throughout the U.S. and Bermuda.

Jay Venkat is a subject matter expert in digital and technology transformation, including agile ways of working and large-scale re-platforming. He has extensive experience in digitizing customer journeys and working side by side with CTOs in transforming the technology function. He came to TriNet from Boston Consulting Group, where he spent the majority of his two-decade career, leading the technology, media and telecom practice area in North America, as well as the firm’s San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices. As CDIO, Jay is responsible for TriNet’s strategy, products, transformation and cybersecurity functions.

Jeff Hayward is an award-winning global technology and engineering executive who brings to TriNet more than 25 years of experience, most recently as senior vice president of Product Engineering for Airline Solutions at Sabre, a software and technology company that powers the global travel industry. He has also held leadership roles both domestically and internationally for leading technology companies Unisys, Dell EMC and others. His track record includes successfully leading dispersed teams to meet enterprise-level goals, transforming multibillion-dollar portfolios and optimizing organizational effectiveness across a variety of interdependent components.

Kelly Tuminelli joined TriNet in September 2020 as executive vice president of Finance and was appointed as chief financial officer on October 26, 2020. In addition to leading the Finance team, she is responsible for the company's insurance services and strategy organizations.

Kelly is a seasoned financial executive bringing more than 30 years of financial services experience in the insurance, investment and consulting industries. Prior to joining TriNet, she served as the executive vice president and chief financial officer at Genworth.

In addition to her more than 15 years at Genworth in roles of increasing responsibility, Kelly previously held leadership roles at GE Capital and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Kelly is on the Board and Audit Committee of TaskUs, and was previously on the board of MENTOR-Virginia, as well as the past chair for AMP! Metro Richmond, a Richmond-based middle school mentoring program. She also previously served as chair of the American Heart Association’s Richmond-area Go Red for Women campaign.

Michael Mendenhall joined TriNet in March 2018 as senior vice president and chief marketing officer / chief communications officer. He leads all marketing and communications functions, including messaging, branding, advertising, demand generation, product marketing and corporate communications.

Michael is a marketing and technology veteran with extensive leadership experience. Prior to TriNet, he most recently served as IBM’s chief marketing officer and chief communications officer for IBM Watson and Cloud Platform, leading all marketing and communications strategies for both business areas.

Prior to IBM, Michael was the chief marketing officer and chief communications officer at Flex. While at Flex, he led the successful rebranding and strategic repositioning of the company beyond an electronics manufacturing services provider to a “sketch-to-scale” supply chain solutions company, operating across 12 different industries, with 200,000 employees around the world.

Prior to Flex, Michael was the executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Fusion.io, where he helped transform its brand positioning and product alignment prior to its acquisition by SanDisk. Before Fusion.io, Michael served as the senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Hewlett-Packard and spent 17 years at the Walt Disney Company, where he rose to president of Marketing and Synergy for Walt Disney Studios and executive vice president of Global Marketing for Disney Parks and Resorts.

Samantha Wellington has served as executive vice president, business affairs, chief legal officer and secretary of TriNet since April 2022. She leads a team of legal, compliance, government affairs and risk experts who focus on bringing their expertise to bear in service of TriNet’s stakeholders. She also leads TriNet’s tax credit business, which focuses on finding and maximizing tax credits for small and medium-size businesses, and TriNet’s assisted services business, which allows TriNet HRIS customers to acquire additional, specialized HR services such as audits, jurisdiction set up, and monitoring, filings, as well as payroll management and HR management.

Samantha is a member of the board of directors of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO), a member of the board’s finance, oversight, and audit committee, and chair of the audit subcommittee. She is a trusted thought leader in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion, ESG strategies, and the future of work, and serves as co-executive sponsor of the tnet pride colleague resource group.

Samantha joined TriNet in 2016 as vice president and associate general counsel and in 2018 she was appointed senior vice president, chief legal officer, and secretary. Prior to joining TriNet, she was at Oracle Corporation where she was managing counsel for Oracle’s Corporate, Securities & Acquisitions legal team. She also served on the boards of directors of Oracle’s publicly held interests in India and Japan. At Oracle, she held several roles, managing commercial matters for key accounts in Asia Pacific and Japan, global integration and restructuring, and expansion into new and emerging markets.

Tom Rose is Senior Vice President, Customer Success and Operations for TriNet's PEO and SaaS HCM customers. In this role, Tom leads TriNet‘s global team focused on customer service, customer success and core service delivery. He stepped into this newly created role in November 2022 from his previous leadership position as Vice President of Customer Solutions.

Tom has been with TriNet for more than 23 years, starting as an account executive and going on to hold various leadership roles of increasing responsibility. He created, implemented and operationalized TriNet’s NPS program, was responsible for the development and deployment of TriNet’s Account Management function, created and operationalized TriNet’s customer resolution program, and played a key role in the design and deployment of the end to end journey of a TriNet PEO customer. Tom’s deep experience in our company and with our customers allows him to work across TriNet’s interdependent functions using agile methodologies to ensure that our customers have access to and can optimize their engagement with TriNet’s comprehensive product line.
